Lakonia Wine Roads concern the peninsula of Epidaurus Limiras (now municipality of Monemvassia), that is, the main wine-producing area in Lakonia, which is also the zone of the PDO Monemvassia-Malvasia white sweet wines.
There are also vineyards in the areas of the municipalities of Sparta and Evrota.
Many are the opportunities for wine tourism in Lakonia Wine Roads:
On the way to Monemvassia, Neapoli Voies and Kithira the visit to 2 wineries is easy
Destined to Sparta, Mystra, Gythio, Eastern Mani or the mountain villages of Taygetos, a visit to 1 winery is appropriate
There are three main ways to access Lakonia Wine Roads:
From the motorway of the Eastern Peloponnese A7/E65, outside Tripoli, the National Road 39/E961 to Sparta and Gythio begins
From Kalamata National Road 82 goes to Sparta (from Mystra to Sparta E084)passing Taygetos
South of Sparta, at the height of Dafni, begins the EO39, the new route of National Road 86 towards Krokees, Scala, Molaoi, Monemvassia with an important, part by part, improvement
